Spent a week at this hotel while traveling for business. Wonderful stay, staff were friendly and helpful, wanted for nothing. The rooms are tastefully done mixing tradition with updated modern amenities and a great, clean, and newly renovated bathroom that's all tile and glass. Rooms were serviced daily. There's a refrigerator, safe, closet, iron (that didn't leak!!!!), full-size ironing board, two thick robes and slippers (that I personally didn't use), strong free uninterrupted wifi, and windows that open enough for a decent breeze. You'll want to close the windows at night, though. After all, it is downtown London, so there's quite a bit of street activity all night long and closing the double windows completely blocked out all noise. I believe the room had air conditioning because I saw grates in the ceiling, but the weather was temperate during my stay, so I had no need to activate it. The lower level is where the front desk is, and has a full bar and a great sitting room, and it is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast happened to be included with our room costs, but the prices are very reasonable, as you can see from the menu, had they not been. I'm a Hilton Diamond member with over 1,000,000 points in my account and would choose this hotel again in the future based on value, luxury, staff, and overall experience. The savings at the time of booking was around £40 per night as opposed to the Paddington Hilton where I've stayed in the past (which is also a great hotel, but during this trip, as I said, the cost difference couldn't be ignored). Of course, pricing will vary throughout the year. Located 100 meters from the Russell Square underground and across the street from a lovely park, there were a couple of local pubs nearby that have great food. The only negative is that the Morton doesn't have a fitness option. Neither a room with equipment nor a relationship with a nearby facility, which admittedly I missed. All that said, I really enjoyed this property and still have no idea how the cat plays onto their branding.

Great location (Bloomsbury: near Piccadilly tube station, close to British Museum, Russell Square). Clean. Recently renovated. Good housekeeping. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room, Nespresso machine, fridge, TV, AC, water kettle.

I would put no stars if I could. Avoid this hotel! I came to London for a work trip so I did not have much say in where to stay. The room I am staying in is very small and smells like nasty body odor. The hotel does not take American Express and the staff speaks little to no English. I will not be back to the Morton.

Staff couldn't be more helpful but during our stay, the heating/aircon wasn't working which meant a hot, stuffy room. Rooms: A mixture of modern and classic styles.
