The room had a lot of paint details, non-existent cleaning and the TV only showed radio programs (?) but the worst thing and the reason why we gave it only 1 star is that the shower has one of those buttons for time (like the used in public toilets) so the water lasts no more than 20 seconds! So for the water to come out hot you have to press the button for a while without releasing it, there is no way to regulate the temperature and to bathe you have to do it with one hand. This system seemed ridiculous to us because we understand that you want to save water but it is impossible to bathe in 20 seconds. The rest was ok but this detail of the shower ruined the only night we spent, which, luckily, was only one. Este sistema nos pareció ridículo porque, entendemos que quieran ahorrar agua pero es imposible bañarse en 20 segundos. El resto estaba ok pero este detalle de la ducha nos arruinó la única noche que pasamos que, por suerte, fue una sola.

  Great building. Some of the rooms are basic and need some TLC. A good breakfast. Can be noisy due to being surrounded and by and above a bar. Safety: The fire door with a 4 inch gap under it isn't the best. I don't think this place would rate highly in a safety inspection.

  The staff here are absolutely amazing. After a bit of an incident with the friends I was meant to be staying with they helped me get my things out even with a few complications on my end, lovely to me even when I was upset, and checked to make sure I had somewhere to stay. I can’t thank them enough for their help and support. They made a stressful night easy. I can’t remember his name but thank you to the man who was on the desk on the 6th may on the evening. After leaving some items in the room they’ve kept them in a bag for me to go and collect. I just can’t thank them enough. The rooms were a decent size and the beds were comfy. A really good location as you can walk to many bars/shops basically anything you’re in Manchester for. Just a really good base for the time you’re there. The bar downstairs seemed really popular and the food did smell nice although i didn’t have any. Can’t thank The Mitre staff enough.

  Disgusting service. Rude staff. We were sitting at the table and the staff told us to leave because there were 2 children with us. (we ordered kids drinks and they didn’t tell us about that rule)
