Walkability: Not walking distance from nearest train stations. Noteworthy details: Historic working water-mill wheel in restaurant area, coupled with original oak beams.

Stayed for 3 nights to visit family, requested the quiet room that I usually have and my booking was accepted. Arrived to open the room and find that it already looked like someone was staying there. Staff explained it had been used the night before by a tribute act and staff had forgotten to clean it. So I was put in a room which had traffic whizzing by all night about 50 cm from my wall some going extremely fast- nightmare. Worst of all it was baking hot and due to noise no windows could be opened. It was a clean and well decorated room but I do not wish this experience on anyone. Needless to say I did get moved to my other room for the rest of my stay. I have always previously had an acceptable stay but no compensation was offered with this experience. Rooms: I have stayed previously in nice quiet rooms but the above experience fell short Noteworthy details: Staff are polite and friendly but seem somewhat overworked especially at breakfast
