It’s taken us a good couple tries to come to the conclusion that The Milkcake Man has perhaps the best tasting Milkcake as most places taste the same. The concept is great and the assembly of the cake is unique with different textures and flavours. However in regards to being the best Milkcake we have tried, perhaps not. Although it’s unique to itself it get a bit boring once you try it more than once. Maybe once in a while is ok. Overall worth a try as it does taste different to your usual Milkcake you find at dessert parlours. In regards to the branding it is ok not sure if the logo goes well with the outlay of the restaurant interior. I guess floral is the way for some.

Both had the French toast with Maple syrup. The portions well worth the price. The presentation and the buttery taste of the brioche bread with the fruits and caramalisation of the banana. The soft scoop ice cream cut through the richness. Well worth a visit and where it is located is a hidden gem. Staff were friendly.

By far the best milk cake I’ve had! When I’m in Birmingham, I’m always keen to go to the Milkcake Man ☺️ We’ve tried the Pistachio milkcake and the Nutella one, both are incredible and I can’t wait to come back again ☺️

Slightly overrated and overly priced. The menu is limited with milk cakes being the speciality hence the name. The French toast and milk cakes in my opinion overly priced compared to other dessert parlours. Whilst the milk cake was nice, it was definitely not worth £7.45 for a small slice. The French toast was priced at £9.95 which yet again compared to other places is also overly priced. I think they ought to look at their pricing strategy as the pricing is unreasonable. They previously used to serve clotted cream with the French toast however, this has been discontinued and now you receive the whippy ice cream (cheap alternative). Apparently we were informed by the staff member this was the demand from customers. However, the customer service is great and staff are polite.

The French toast was lovely really well presented The ice cream could have been better though, seemed to have a more milky taste rather than vanilla. I will definitely be back and would recommend.
