Lovely visit to The Mayflower. It was my husband’s 50th birthday and we stayed one night in a lovely room with a roll top bath. Nice extra like homemade biscuits, proper coffee and cafetière in the room. Nice toiletries too. We also had dinner, nice selection of choices and we both enjoyed our meals. The service is very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they accommodated our dog really well too, he was made to feel welcome. Nice breakfast in the morning. Great value for money.

Such a great location and service was perfect. The food was delicious, we had Calamari and Pork Rissetti for starters, followed by Gammon Steak and Burger. It was just delicious and would definitely recommend The Mayflower. They are also very dog friendly which is great. Hope to dine here again when back in Lumington. Beer had green slime over the side of the glass, replaced no drama. Food at £17 a pop for a dry burger and handful of chips was very disappointing to be honest. Lovely staff, way over-priced food. Wouldn't eat here again but happy enough to grab a pint probably. Food & drinks: Very very average and massively overpriced

Visited family who had stayed there overnight. The hotel refused to let us order any breakfast - no mechanism to charge for it. In any case it appeared the bacon had been microwaved. The service was very slow. Furthermore overnight our family had been awoken by a fire alarm in the middle of the night which did not automatically summon the fire brigade and there was no manager on site. On the bright side the garden is sunny and a nice place to sit and eat with family.
