I hadn't realised how interesting The Matthew would be;but it really was. A crew member told me about John Cabot and his journeys, and showed me about the ship. And the ship hasn't even got a steering wheel?!

Very clean and lovely ship, you can go on board and have a look at everything in there. We had the luck to get an excellent tour of the ship and very informative demonstration on how people sailed on the original ship. I can recommend to visit it if you have time. The entry is free and everybody is very lovely and helpful and explains you a lot of details if you are interested in medieval sailing. Unfortunately we had no time to book a tour on the Matthew, but I hope we can do this soon. Thank you so much for your kind insight into everything, we had a very good time visiting the ship! Top recommendation!!

Great ship to explore but its quite small. You need to be nimble. Great info from the crew if you want to ask. It still sails so might not be there. Check 1st
