We had our wedding at Matara in May and cannot recommend the venue highly enough. We had the very best of days, and every guest was blown away by the beauty and uniqueness of the venue. (We also rented Kingscote House for the weekend - which was even more spectacular if anything). From our first visit to the day itself we found the staff to be incredibly helpful. Holly was an absolute dream to work with - don’t let her calm nature fool you, she is on top of everything! Nothing was too much effort - things other venues charge extra for, or make a song and dance about were of no issue. We were able to completely just enjoy our day. This is a wedding venue with all the quality and class you’d expect in the Cotswolds - but has so many other unique elements that will really set your wedding apart. Our wedding day was a wash out, so we couldn’t make the most of all Matara’s outdoor space. But such is this venues depth, that didn’t matter at all. If anything it was a blessing in disguise, allowing us to enjoy its fabulous indoor spaces.

This is the most beautiful hidden gem of a location, they can host various celebrations from weddings to celebrations of life. All the staff were lovely and very respectful, particularly Steve and Abbey are a real credit to this place and made sure everything was set up ready exactly how we wanted and we had all we needed throughout the day. Every one of our guests said how beautiful the day was. They can even have memorial trees planted in dedication to a loved one, we had a tree planted in memory of our son, and we're so pleased with it, they supplied a basket of ribbons to tie on and a watering can to water it. They supplied catering for our guests, very impressed that the chef was able to cater for us as the standard menu wasn't to our tastes - he made it perfect. Our guests and us were free to wander or gather in and around the centre freely, with staff always to hand with a smile if we needed anything. Thank you all so much.
