  The Maitland Clinic is 1st class. The staff were all so helpful, pleasant & attentive. Nothing was too much trouble & all questions answered. I was often being told " if you want or need anything, just ask". Dr Ball explained everything & is extremely good at his work. I now look as if I have a full head of hair. A big change from the thinning & partial baldness I had before. I wholeheartedly thank Dr Ball, David Anderson & all his staff for an excellent & enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

  I had a 2000 graft FUE transplant at the Maitland Clinic (Portsmouth) in March 2022. A year later I am very happy with the results and I would happily recommend Dr Ball and his team at the Maitland Clinic. I had consultations (online and in person) with a good few clinics and none of them were as thorough as David Anderson and Dr Ball. All of the other clinics just looked at my head and gave a rough estimate by eye whereas Dr Ball had the proper hair analyzer machine and it was much more comprehensive consultation. On the day it all went very smoothly and the team were great although it is a long day of course. The recovery was essentially pain free after the first few days. My donor area has healed up nicely and even though I wear my hair very short on the sides and back you can hardly notice any FUE scars. When the donor area hair grows longer you do not see any sparse patches from where the area has been over harvested it all looks natural. The top has fully grown now and its night and day difference to what it used to look like, I can wear it shorter now and it still looks much thicker than before. Prior to the transplant, from my personal research Dr Ball and his team at the Maitland Clinic stood out as the best and a year on from having the transplant I would not go anywhere else.

  I'm glad there was parking and very easy to get to from the main road. The staff were all really friendly and chatty and I was very surprised by how attentive they were and their willingness to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I felt like I was at a 5 star spa and hotel. It was really nice of Dr Ball to see me out to the buildings reception at the end of the day and of the nurse to see me out to the car park, it finished off the day perfectly. It was lovely of the staff to go out and get food for me and bring it back whilst I sat inside doing nothing. Dr Ball's explanations were detailed and thorough but easy to understand. Dr Ball was very caring and clearly cares about the work that he does and is very passionate about high standards of every aspect of the operation. Dr Ball's attitude towards his work reminded my of my own attitude towards my work - understanding that there's a person your severing and someone's life you're dealing with. I was glad that David was at the initial meeting, having been through operations himself, and although he works with The Mainland Clinic I felt like he was there to support me rather than the clinic. Very simply, but I'm really glad to have had the list from the nurse which lists out what I needed to do each day after the opp! I'm glad the nurse messaged me the next day and asked for photos, and that I can email the nurse when ever if I need to. I think a simple but powerful comment to make is that I would recommend The Maitland Clinic to friends and family and that I would attend The Mainland Clinic again!

  I really highly recommend a Dr Edward Ball and his Team If You are looking for best result and natural look The Maitland clinic meets these criteria!!!Dr Ball is so compassionate and so talented , Has a lot of knowledge and will answer HONESTLY‼️ every question that bothers you,!!‼️‼️‼️‼️Thank You so much Karen For All what You have done for Me -/ she was amazing / ‼️ Most importantly Honest People You won’t be disappointed I been before in so many clinics and I have never feel so comfortable and safe like in the Maintland ‼️‼️‼️All the best For You Guys Top Clinic

  I had my procedure with Dr Ball and his team earlier this week - 1,150 grafts, FUE hair transplant. I am absolutely delighted with the service and results I have achieved thus far. Dr Ball has a fantastic reputation and is extremely meticulous. I particularly liked their preference for natural-looking results that will be enjoyed in the long-term; taking into account your family history of hair loss to assess the likelihood of you requiring future procedures. They made me feel extremely welcome and at ease on the day. Dr Ball and his team are very empathetic, sociable, and professional. If I do require a 'top-up' in years to come, I certainly won't be looking anywhere else!

  I had an FUT hair transplant of 3500 grafts at the Maitland Clinic in August. The whole experience has been great so far. In particular the care and enthusiasm of Dr Ball and the whole team on the day of the procedure was fantastic, despite it being a long day finishing at 10pm. The after care has been exemplary and everything they told me would happen has happened so far, so i'm keeping positive about the new year when the grafts will start to come of out their resting phase. Based on my experience so far I'd definitely recommend Maitland.

  I recently attended the Maitland Clinic for a consultation with David Anderson and Dr Edward Ball. Initially, I met with David and went through my medical background and my family background in terms of hair loss. We also discussed my expectations re hair surgery/use of medication etc and those of David. I also asked David about any questions/concerns etc that I had. David also used mirrors to show/explain some of the hair loss I had/would continue to have and what treatments might be used to combat this. About halfway through the consultation, Dr Ball joined us - from surgery it looked like! He put a microscopic camera to my head and I was able to view the feed from the laptop. I was able to see my scalp way up close, and both Dr Ball and David examined and explained about the different types of hair and checked for availability/suitability for transplant. Dr Ball then drew on my head and used mirrors to show me where the transplant would take effect, which was most helpful. We further discussed the use of/ importance of medication for hair retention/regrowth. And also other treatments such as PRP. During the consultation, both David and Dr Ball were very professional, friendly and honest about hair transplantation and the various treatments that go alongside this. I felt relaxed and comfortable, and able to chat freely with them about any concerns or questions I had. I would highly recommend The Maitland Clinic if you are considering having a consultation, or just want some more information/assurance about the process. Daniel

  A brilliant team of people who instantly put you at ease and make the day enjoyable. There are many hair transplant clinics out there all proclaiming to be the best. Having now been through the process I can now say for certainty that the Maitland Clinic was the correct choice. I have been very well cared for before and after op and if you are considering FUE then I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks to all the nurses and team who assisted as you all were fantastic and thanks again to Dr Ball.
