We switched to a new supplier, on the basis that we were out of contract. At this stage we learnt that when we got a call from TMR couple of years earlier asking us to change the billing cycle and to sign new paperwork they had subsequently after the meeting inserted an “additional term” which was not agreed. If anyone has had any such issues or dealings with TMR, please contact us by email as we are looking to collate information relating to any irregularities.

Terrible company. All their bad reviews say it all. I wish I had seen these before doing business with them. I can honestly say the worst company I have come across in my 40 years of business. 2.3 stars says it all. If you care why did nobody bother to contact Cimac and settle this matter in a business manner. You listen to yourselves and nobody else. Stay away!!

Received a quote in 2019 which stated “As discussed we will monitor the account to see if your volumes increase or decrease to make sure you have the best solution at any time.” This proved to be a misrepresentation of the contract. The first time we saw the contract was when TMR came into our offices to get it signed on the spot with no chance to read it thoroughly. We trusted their assurance that nothing had changed since the quote and email exchanges at that stage. But the penalty clause was hidden within 3 pages of standard terms and conditions in very small print. We believe that TMR behaved improperly in getting the agreement signed. The penalty clause is “If Meter usage exceeds the stated letter volumes of postage spend (specified overleaf), TMR reserves the right to charge you TMR’s then current charge for such excess usage.” That charge is 47p for every £1 of postage. We were told we had to pay £10,000 now or have our quarterly fee increase 3-fold for the next 4+ years. We believe that clause is an unfair contract term under Unfair Contract Terms Act (UCTA) 1977 because it is a disproportionate, unreasonable penalty clause and directly contradicted the text of the quote. TMR didn’t inform us in Feb 2020 when breach first occurred allowing penalties under the unfair clause accumulate for 20 months. Revealingly, they are content to allow us to continue at present levels of usage at the contracted fee as long as we pay them £10,000.

We have had the misfortune of being involved with these cowboys and their predecessors for over 10 years. In that time I have never experienced such a level of sharp practice. Constant rip off charges, maintenance charges and the usual almost criminal lease agreements. Surely time for a class action in relation to their mis-selling and unfair practices. Have nothing to do with them Yes of course Sam. I spend my time making random reviews of useless Photocopier/Franking companies. I am simply amazed companies like yours still exist in this day and age

My advice to any taking out a contract with the Mailing Room is please, please read the small print - there is a clause in the contract in small print saying that if you exceed your monthly postage there will be a surchange for every pound over. My advice is don't sign anything until contract has been looked at very carefully and make you have a copy of the contract before the sales rep leaves to go over.. My employer was got an very nasty financial surprise.

Please do not do business with these guys, you will regret it. They have cost me so much time and stress and now money as well. They are massively over priced, didnt even repair my machine under contract, stole my spare ink and postage labels!!! Never experienced such a poor service in my life and they are very unapologetic for their short comings! I am so dissapointed and upset with them I didn't renew my service contract with them and now they are still chasing for payment for a contract I dont even have. Utter shambles!! They don't even deserve the lonely 1 star but there is no option for no stars!
