I've knocked a star off because the mirror was not close enough to the plug socket to style my hair, there wasn't a grab rail in the bathroom, making it difficult to get out of the bath. The bottled water and teabags were not restocked. The breakfast was adequate, I didn't like the choice of cereal. I burnt the bread because the toaster didn't pop up automatically. On the other hand the beds were comfortable and the staff were lovely, and we had a delicious dinner.

This is a fabulous hotel. My double room was impeccable. I have struggled to find a really good hotel in London, but this is it. The location is excellent - 15 minute walk from Putney station, which can be quickly reached from Waterloo or Clapham Junction, and 5 minutes from East Putney tube. I did not have the opportunity to try the breakfast/dining, but I will next time.
