Consistently the best quality restaurant experience in the Brighton area. The Tasting Menu is inventive and well balanced and appropriately priced - a luxury experience. The set menu means the kitchen is producing high quality food without traditional waste - efficient, ethical and responsible. Excellent experience

You could actually remain in Ship Street all evening. I have mentioned the Seven Stars (200 yards up the road) previously but the Walrus was then recommended by mates who were staying at the Hotel du Vin. A group of us were staying locally for a golf trip (dont let that put you off this review) and it was suggested we meet at this pub. Good range of gins and beer. All I need say about the quality of the pub is that we were 1 hour 40 minutes late for dinner. Didn't eat but the food looked good. If you are looking for a pub crawl of Brighton also add the fantastic Lion and Lobster!

Save up, block-book the evening and enjoy Duncan Rays & Staff's dining experience - if you go out just ONCE a year, put this on your list for sure.

This review is more about ambiance and noise levels than food. When you are looking forward to an evening catching up with friends you do hope for a little bit of comfort around the edges. The Little Fish Market is as minimal as could possibly be. On a dank Jan evening with a group of friends the restaurant feels sparse and cold. But the biggest problem is the noise level. Not a single piece of fabric or furnishing to help with acoustics meaning that not only could we not hear or understand the waiting staff, we could not talk as a group but only, with difficulty, to the person next to you. It was impossible to have a relaxing conversation and we left at the end of the evening having spent a serious amount of money but feeling like we had an assault on the senses of the most exhausting kind!

Spent Saturday evening dining here with friends. Fine ingredients and clever cooking with artful presentation but experience spoiled by the racket of fellow diners and background music making it almost impossible to hear conversation on your own table. Oh for some soft furnishings to deaden the noise. A shame as it’s an expensive treat in dull January.
