  I highly recommend Sally. My small garden had developed randomly and was a bit messy and sad looking. Sally listened patiently and understood the overall look I was trying to achieve – a less busy and more sociable space with plants I felt confident I could manage. She was careful to find out what kind of plants I liked and disliked, and we discussed her suggestions to make sure I was happy with my final choices. I was pleased that many of my plants were retained, sometimes in different locations, and happy with the ones that were removed. All the work, including the removal, relocation and new planting, was completed quickly and tidily by Sally and Henry.   We initially contacted Sally for ideas and inspiration because we had our own ideas of what we wanted but had no idea how to bring it all together. sally put our minds at ease, mixing our ideas with some of her own and explaining the reasons along the way.   We have a medium sized suburban garden. I asked Sally to design a replacement patio with steps leading into the garden and to help break the garden space into rooms. It proved a pleasure to work with her. She was professionally confident but was also attentive to my wishes. So she was happy to discuss lots of possibilities and draw up more than one design to achieve what we wanted. The design also managed to incorporate the plants in the garden that we wanted to keep along with new planting. Sally is both meticulous and creative. I very highly recommend her!   Highly recommend Sally for any garden designing services. Right from our first meeting we felt like she understood exactly how to get the most out of the space and suggested lots of great ideas we wouldn’t have thought of ourselves. Sally has transformed our garden and driveway into a new exciting space we’re really proud of and brings us enjoyment all year round. It was important to us to tie the house and garden together to create defined areas for outdoor dining, bringing greenery and colour closer to the house, and deal with a change in levels to make if feel more inviting and purposeful. We now have defined areas within the 2 different garden levels, with thought through planting zones, features made of our birdbath, water trough and new stone steps. Sally used her wealth of experience to successfully design and manage the project and her attention to detail meant we had very few issues through the build.

  I couldn't recommend Sally at Yorkshire Garden Design highly enough. She's absolutely brilliant at her job - good with gardens, plants, people and dogs! We really enjoyed meeting with her, both in-person and online, and she made the whole process easy and enjoyable from start to finish. I am a keen gardener but didn't know how to go about achieving what I had in mind and didn't feel confident about creating good planting schemes. Sally listened to us, added her experience and skill to our thoughts and ideas, and created a beautiful, practical design which is perfect for us.
