    I recently went in this shop with my mother and found the guy who worked there very rude.Perhaps he needs to be trained up in customer manners! The lighting looked cheap too so we quickly left. We definitely won't be going back. If you want quality lighting I suggest you try elsewhere especially if you want the individual to serve you to be respectful and not obnoxious! Dear Owner,I have no idea who your "Dave Handley" is and tbh feel insulted by your reply all because someone you know or shares the same name has a similar comment to mine elsewhere.I was very tempted to visit your shop today to show I'm a 100% real individual and expect an apology but i don't don't need to prove myself to anyone.You don't know me personally and i don't know you personally. If it wasn't for your reply,i might have considered visiting your shop again in the near future and hopefully turned a negative comment into a positive one which is now out of the question.

    I don't think I have ever had such rude and appalling customer service as provided by the mother and son owners(?) of this shop. I was in search of some kit to add to my existing lamp base: it all started off well, but when offered an old second hand lamp for £40.00 from which I could re-use parts, I was not allowed to touch it, explore whether it was going to be of use in this instance, I was told not to touch as it was the mother's property. They were exceptionally rude and basically hustled me out of the shop! I dropped into Screwfix on the way home ....and although they couldn't supply what I needed, they did give me the name of a supplier who could provide the neccessary kit. (Since ordered on the internet for a total of £10.00!). Dreadful attitude from The Lighting Shop.....brilliant from Screwfix!!!
