Absolutely beautiful on the inside. We booked with American Express and were given a 5 star view of Big Ben and Westminster bridge. The food was fantastic, though the sandwiches I feel were lacking some spread on the inside of them. Just very thin amounts provided. Each bread was moist and delicious though. The teas were phenomenal. The desserts were tasty but very rich. Hard to finish everything we were given but still worth going. Service could be a little better given the price you pay. Our waitress was perhaps new but had to keep asking if we could be given certain additional things we had requested. (ie more champagne.. keeping the menu etc). For the two of us it was roughly 140 pounds. Well worth the “one time” experience. The restaurant is located inside the Marriott hotel.

Beautiful location and view but the afternoon tea with accompanying tea sandwiches, scones and desserts were super overpriced for the value! $175 usd for two adults with only one glass of house champagne ordered. They sat us next to two ladies and the tables are fairly close together. Made for a weird hour as we felt like we were on top of them. The room was not full.

Amazing view on the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) from the library. Great atmosphere with all the book cases and books and our afternoon tea was nice. The scones were perfect, the sweets were really good, the sandwiches could have bit a bit better but the overall experience was superb.

We booked an appointment a day prior and when we got there, they had a mix up and said we never reserved and technically told us to leave. Checked with hotel reception before heading out to double check on the number. Turns out we did in fact reserve but the hostess didn’t lock it in… Very disappointed in especially at a prestigious hotel. personally wouldn’t go back.
