When I decided that the 2 seater British car that I had officially exported to France about 15 years ago no longer met my requirements, I decided to look for a small ( but 4 seater) second hand French car instead. I was surprised by the high price, high mileage and poor condition of available used cars in my area of France - the Pyrenees Orientales. I came across the Left Hand Drive Place while searching online. Buying a French registered Citroën C1 Airscape with incredibly low mileage from this company was the best decision I ever made. I dealt with Martin Street who I must say is the most honest, knowledgeable, professional, patient and personable member of the motor trade I have ever come across. He made a complex process seem very easy and dealt with all the paperwork - French bureaucracy at its worst- and explained everything clearly at every step of the way, furnishing all the necessary documents in a timely fashion. In my particular case, a charming man (Andrew) delivered my car to me in my very remote mountain village- a journey in excess of 1000 miles. He also drove my MG back to my UK address while I flew home! Looking back I am still amazed at the level of service offered - they even helped with the process of re registering the MGF in the UK before I could sell it. There was very little profit involved for the LHD Place at any stage of this transaction - the Citroën was one of their cheaper cars and the drive through France and back would have cost me more than I paid them. It is abundantly clear how highly they value customer satisfaction and how expert the staff are in their field. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would certainly buy from them again should the need arise. Thank you so very much.

We bought a car here in August 2018 and enjoyed many years of travelling to Spain and back in it. Recently we decided we were using it less so contacted The Left Hand Drive Place who were happy to purchase it back. The entire experience, from initial purchase to resale, was quick, highly professional and friendly. I consider The Left Hand Drive Place to possibly be the best place to buy or sell a car in the UK (and maybe the world!). I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Update: Trust these BSh!tters at your own peril. Opportunist’s of note! You’ve been warned. Although I have yet to take delivery my experience purchasing a vehicle has been the best I’ve experienced in the UK (I usually only purchase from Agents) but needed a LHD to go back to The EU. Martin has been honest and detailed which is refreshing. Even the gentleman who test drove a few cars with myself and my family (Martin I think) was such a great chap who set the scene. So far I definitely recommend, go in to a transaction with realistic expectations and you’ll be well rewarded. Thank you Left Hand Drive Place, it’s been a pleasure. NOT!!!

I accidentally stumbled upon LHD while browsing Autotrader looking to change my ageing Suzuki. I spoke to Martin, who helped in the decision-making as I was unsure what to do. We ended up buying a beautiful, moderately priced VW Golf in excellent condition in December. Martin is an honest, straightforward guy with a sense of customer care; he answered all my questions and gave me good part exchange value on my old car. It's been a month, and the car has no issues and is running brilliantly. Highly recommend these guys.

Bought a car from here a couple of months ago, Excellent condition, salesman who's name I forget was very helpful. Car only came with 1 key, but they agreed to order us a new genuine key which was in my hand within a week. Car was exactly as described, would happily buy from again. Only criticism would be that they're firm on their prices, but from looking at other similar cars ours was very fairly priced and was happy to pay full asking price including the extra key which cost around £250 from Volkswagen.
