We spent a night at this hotel. We arrived late evening at 10pm, the staff called me to confirm my arrival, we were just arrived when he calling, we had speedy check in and he showed us around the hotel, the facility and led us to the room. The staff were friendly and polite. The bar was full of people celebrating, but we can’t hear any noise in our room. The included continental breakfast was so great, toasts, croissants were serving hot and tasty. We had nice experiences at this hotel, it’s value for money. Would recommend.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Our first room had a slight issue, no major dramas but staff moved us without question. Food was fantastic in the pub. We were B&B but leaving early so would have missed the breakfast.... On the evening, staff member brought us over 3 takeaway boxes filled with fruit, pastries and jams. Such a great experience at this venue. Only one minor negative is the car par was a bit tight for a LWB work van. Other then that, brilliant.

Popped in here for a birthday meal. Had previously left the Hungry Horse pub (Bonnie Prince) when we found out that they had zero vegetarian options left on the menu. The Lawns was busy but still had a couple of tables spare. We had three mains and four sweets and a round of drinks. The food was good. One of the pints tasted like vinegar, this was changed quickly for a different pint. It shouldn't be up to the customer to tell the barmen that the beer is off.

Went for a night out, didn't stay in any rooms. The bar had a good selection of beers and ciders. Both inside and out are nice places to relax with a drink with friends. It was absolutely packed out when I was there on a Saturday night so obviously very popular with, I assume, the locals. Recommended. Service : 4/5 | Location : 2/5 … More

Really nice place, good selection of drinks, but the noise from other customers is very off putting shall we say. Will not be returning in a hurry.

This place used to be great year's ago, but since moving back to the area recently and revisiting it, it's gone down hill, hardly any real ale is available now, and what there is, lacking in variety, quality and the prices are too high. The food is decent but once again overpriced. Most of the staff are friendly and accommodating, other than 2 younger lads who were so ignorant to me when leaving and thanking them one time, just looked right through me. Finally the people that go in are too rowdy and noisy, they also think it's their pub and no one else's, gets far too noisy in general and so annoying like it's a nightclub, used to be a nice quiet pub year's ago. Also the previous landlord Charles, was so much better than the one that runs it now. Parking is ridiculous also, you have to pay so everyone parks on high street which is so annoying for residents. I'll go in for the odd drink once and while still but its nothing like the great all round experience it once used to be.
