Definitely my kind of place, we enquired if we were OK too have the dog with us and order food . This wasn't an issue . Went up to order drinks and collect a menu , immediately offered a tab , which I considered very sincere as I wasn't a known customer and this is a sticks / rural place where I would think they know most of the local faces .. anyway after a hugely difficult choice we ordered the pan roasted seabass and a quick look at desserts said we were having homemade sticky toffee pudding . . Although not a huge amount of people in there (15 ) everyone was ordering or having food and as it passed our table I honestly think no matter what choice we had made it would have been delicious... we waited about 25 for our main meal which is totally acceptable for fresh food.. we were not disappointed at all .. every morsel was perfection ... unfortunately for me , the sun had started to set , and the whole back garden was now in the shade and having been out all day in the sun I now started to feel incredibly cold so much so we skipped desserts and got the bill .. BUT we will be back again . I Definitely want another meal at this delightful place

Lovely pub in the middle of nowhere, very cosy feel. Staff could have been friendlier, found them to be fairly cold and unwelcoming and keen to see us out, had to rush our food and last drink since they were closing, and didn’t feel they handled the situation particularly well.

Beautiful pub tucked away down country lanes. Charming and full of character. Unfortunately there wasn't a free table for lunch as fully booked which doesn't surprise me. There booked up probably 10 days in advance but do keep 2 tables for walk-ins. Only open Thursday-sunday. Sunday lunch looked pretty good. Staff really polite and friendly, will definitely revisit for dining soon.
