Been to the location multiple times as Celeste prior to the Lanesborough grill. Interior stunning as always. Food was excellent albeit the same three course menu/ items as the last visit. Staffing used to be amazing when it was Celeste - a major drop in staffing standard as evident by mumbling when food was being introduced. The sommelier was lack lustre in his approach- they used to have a fantastic sommelier previously. Also some staff had inappropriate sized jackets and shirts which did not look good when placing items on the table. Food- menu has not change for a few months and very much the same selection on the last time. Food- mushroom risotto was good. The salmon starter presented beautifully. Then pork belly was good. The cheeks was too fatty a cut. Desert of Gianduja cheesecake was excellent. Lovely evening- would come back with a change in menu and an improvement in service staff.

Set meal experience but it wasn't clear from the menu exactly what was included although some items incurred a 'supplement' cost. We were asked whether we wanted drinks but no list was provided. It was quiet with lots of staff and the service like the food was excellent. I appreciate that it isn't cheap but feel the way they charged for the extras by breaking the bill down and charging for each item then crediting the original set meal payment meant the benefit was lost resulting in a higher cost than expected; but maybe the drinks really are that expensive!

Whilst the food for afternoon tea was excellent, it was very delayed. The tea selection was limited. The menu did not have background information about the contents of the afternoon tea unlike others. The service in the restaurant was a bit slow and impersonal, but the hotel staff outside the restaurant were world class.

Had a great evening in the restaurant. The layout of the restaurant is spacious, grand, and comfortable. Think it gave us a very relaxing vibe for a wonderful family and celebration occasion. Great choices from the set menu and the team is very attentive and knowledgeable. Think it really enhanced our experience of the evening. Good food quality and I left feeling satisfied and yet not too full from a three course meal.
