Popped to the Lamb for dinner as it was open when much around locally on a Tuesday was shut. Well what a stroke of luck. Just up the road from where we were staying at the Green Hill site. Easy Parking just outside. We had a window seat so we could look out in the New forest ponies. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. Nice pint or 3 of Timmy Taylor. Started with slow cooked pork belly in a cola and soy sauce which was proper tender. I then had the special moussaka which was really tasty, served with olive and cheese garlic bread. Too full for a pudding. It was all fairly priced and used quality ingredients. The kind of pub that I wished was back home so I could frequent it regularly.

Yesterday, 29th April 2023, my brother and sister-in-law took me ( gluten intolerant) and my friend ( a muggle) to The Lamb Inn for lunch. I was so pleased to see a selection of gluten free meals available and I chose Liver and Bacon. It came with onion gravy, mashed potato and garden peas. The liver was tender, the bacon crispy and the whole meal absolutely delicious. The muggles enjoyed their meals, all of which looked so tasty, but I think I was the winner. Can't wait to go back for more.
