You can get good food at a lot of places. What you often don’t get is amazing service from friendly staff that actually enjoy what they do. This is a big thank you to Cheryl who took a good day and made it a great day. 5* food and 5* service Many thanks Terry

Wonderful meal, as always, at The Kitchen on Easter Sunday. We are always impressed with the friendly service here, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is delicious and some of the menu changes with the season so you can always expect something a bit different. We’ve visited here a number of times and will always return.

The staff were amazing. I would give 5 stars for that but overall has to be 3 because the food massively let us down and that’s the most important thing when dining out. Had the burger which was very average - super disappointing as I was very much looking forward to that ( sounded incredible on the menu - was expecting incredible and it just wasn’t that - it even came out cold ) My friend had the vegan curry and again wasn’t impressed. The wine and breads were good but the mains massively let us down which is a shame because we came here to celebrate both of our birthdays

Came here today with family for lunch. Food lovely - for myself, Arancini special for starter and the Butter Chicken Curry main were especially noteworthy. However, Burgers on the table also looked very nice indeed. Lovely atmosphere within the restaurant and a special mention to Cheryl, our Waitress, who was brilliant throughout. Will definitely return!

My 4th time to The Kitchen last night for my birthday meal and what a great place. So relaxed, with great service, amazing food and a homely feel that is perfect for the setting within the Chewton Glenn grounds. The food is always top notch which is a credit to James and his team. Always look forward to visiting and can’t wait for my return.

We decided to use the Kitchen to celebrate or wedding anniversary. We travelled from Winchester to enjoy the Kitchen experience! We had a fantastic evening, we were served by 4 of the team including the duty manager. All the team were brilliant and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The food was amazing and we enjoyed both the starters and main courses. Adam concluded our experience and he was particularly good at his role in hospitality, I watched him early looking after a number of young families at the table next to us, doing a brilliant job! Overall we had a fantastic evening…. thank you!

Rather disappointing after all we had read and heard and our great experience in their restaurant. A nice environment spoilt by children running around. Service was incredibly slow. 50 mins wait for starter and three hours for three course lunch. 12.5% service charge added for mediocre service from staff who clearly did not know the menu. First choice wines not available. Food was good but not exceptional and not to the standard of the restaurant.
