I'd heard this place had recently been refurbished, with new bedrooms / apartments. I haven't visited the rooms so cannot comment on them. I visited the pub, intending to book three rooms prior to a wedding to be held at nearby Houchins. The pub was dark and cold. Staff weren't particularly welcoming and although food is advertised, none was available. With regards to booking rooms, I was told that there was no availability for the date I requested and not for some weeks after. Since my visit I have discovered a number of guests have in fact been able to book rooms. Overall very disappointed.
