Several times we have walked past the King and Queen pub with every intention of having a meal in there. Yesterday was the day. Was happy with the seating outside, the staff were friendly and quickly took our order. I chose the Sunday roast pork, my Wife the haddock and chips with mushy peas. The meals arrived in good time. However, this is where the good experience ends. The roast potatoes were very well done on the cusp of being burnt. The pork was so so, certainly nothing to boast about. And the vegetables not really any better (I had to ask for the vegetables as they weren't brought out with my meat dish)!! The only thing I will say is the crackling was very nice but for nearly £17 I was very disappointed. My Wife's haddock was tasteless and oily, and she did say for less cost she's had a better fish and chips. We were very surprised to see they'd added on a service fee, which we did pay but incredibly reluctantly. Our first and last visit. Never again

First time to day at the King and Queen. Had dinner in the garden. Very polite and friendly service. Order taken promptly . Drinks served soon after. Food after cooking time. Nicely presented and tasty. Inside and outside seating. Good range of food. Two pay carparks one as you come in to the village one by the river and ferry . Road down quite steep and a bit uneven.

Menu is a bit poor the lunch menu only has 3 sandwich choices unless you want to pay 14.00 for steak or club sandwich . I wont be going back unfortunately.. Shame it was good before .. And Nice place to sit in summer.

It was one of our favourite pubs for a Sunday roast… until we had a baby. Now we don’t feel welcome as we found out that they don’t do high chairs.

We waited for 1h and 10 minutes to get our food (and I had booked days before). One of the waiters was extremely rude. Also the food was average.

Absolute gem of a pub with friendly staff and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately we only managed a late evening pit stop on pizza night otherwise suspect I’d be posting a 5 star review! Definitely one to revisit!
