Fantastic outdoor space with plenty of shade if you want it, good food (lots of choice) and friendly service. Car park was full (for our 1.30pm lunchtime booking on a Sat), so we had to park elsewhere, but otherwise was great. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely pub with brilliant, attentive staff. Only bad meal I've had there is the carvery last Sunday. Roast potatoes were not nice to the point of being inedible and only got one slice of beef and one of gammon. For £20.00 I'd expect more.

Very Busy Pub but this doesn’t affect the service you receive. Lots of staff on hand and all the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Pub has a great garden with plenty of seating and the kids loved the park area. Food was good the kids meals were a great portion size. My son had the pizza and couldn’t manage it all so I ate the last slice and it was to die for! The ultimate burger was fully loaded and definitely worth every penny. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a very enjoyable family meal at The Jovial Sailor this evening. We reserved one of the outdoor huts, which was perfect in the early evening sunshine. My ultimate burger was delicious and very filling (sorry, forgot to take a photo!), and my eton mess was great too. A couple of pints of Hogs Back Tea to go with it and I was very happy! Excellent value for money, friendly and efficient service. Recommended.
