Food & drinks: I would recommend The Jolly Sportman, we were looked after from start to finish. I believe our server was called Rachael and she was terrific. The food is of a good quality and comes at a steady pace from a busy kitchen. I would recommend booking, but the case of todays meal, we called ahead and managed to get a table for 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant. Vegetarian options: Two of us had the Chilled Courgette and Wild Garlic Soup to start, very well presented and delicious. Kid-friendliness: Our 4 and 7yr old were entertained with colouring and their menu was varied. Ours both had Sausage and Mash, if I was being picky, there should have been more gravy. Parking: Great Parking

Absolutely fantastic place, we stayed overnight for one night to attend a local winery event, this place is just perfect to visit the east Sussex wine district. The staff here are just wonderful, very helpful & friendly, the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The bar is very well stocked with local beers & local wines, and considering this is best wine district in the UK you have a good choice by the glass. Perfect all round Rooms: Just splendid clean, quiet, very comfortable bed, good shower and great coffee
