Well - it's a nice spot to stop en-route with lots seating inside & out. We had pre booked arrival so we're expected. And pre ordered food. That being only polite and fair to the pub. For a Fullers pub the beer choice was limited to Two. (The third, a Cornish Seacastle, brew) ran out as we arrived) We are a beer drinking group and had thought more of the Fullers range available. But then Fullers must know what they can sell in the sticks. So it was London Pride or Griffin IPA. The Griffin was advertised as 15% off so we had 13 pints! (As you do) we paid £4.72 a pint after 15% special advertised discount - so that's normally £5.55 !! No wonder they discounted to sell. It was a decent beer. The bill was checked to find we had been charged for a beer more than ordered. Problem was pints were pulled and not added to till at the time. That was sorted. Wine prices were London prices. Take note. We paid £11.90 for two 250mm glasses of white Edwin Fox Blanc to find overcharged and only way to get a credit we were told was to buy more wine and reduce that by overcharged amount. Anyway. again all sorted. Ladies of the Service Team were super in their work. Efficient and helpful. Meal took over an hour more to serve than planned. We had pre-ordered after all. The pub had other diners but not full by any means. Anyway the Fish in the Fish & Chips received special mention by many as did the Beef Pie. Peas were tasteless. We paid for the meals and slipped away as we had arrived all in good order. Some noted on journey that the Gents was in need of a freshen up. But you are only there for minutes!!!

I enjoyed a lunch here with friends a couple of weeks ago. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the interior decor and layout are pleasant. There's a decent beer garden, and the car park is big enough. The food was fine, but the vegetable tagine could have been more interesting.

Somebody had moved the tables around, without telling the staff, so our food went to the wrong rable. Twice. Hilarious

Beautiful surroundings. Decor was classically modern and inviting. Staff members were attentive without being intrusive. We went for a celebratory Sunday lunch. 3 had the beef, 1 had chicken. All delicious. On the whole, puddings were good too - 2 crumble (delicious, good crumble : apple ratio), brownie (delicious, dark, morish) and a lemon meringue tart with raspberry sorbet. Sounded good but was sickly sweet and the pastry was so firm, it was impossibile to cut into. Would definitely return
