A few years ago it used to be relatively simple to make an appointment, but the system for contacting the practice is now farcical. If you get through to reception staff on the phone, they can't make appointments for you. The website is extremely glitchy and unreliable. The NHS app only gives extremely limited options. I have no idea how the elderly or non-English speakers are meant to cope. The whole process is Kafkaesque. It's a huge shame as the doctors and staff are pleasant and very hardworking. Surely there must be a simpler system to allow patients to contact their GP?

Completely impossible to book an appointment, even for a child. I don’t even try to book appointments for myself.

Spoke to a lovely receptionist and explained my symptoms. She immediately informed the Dr on call, who called me back within half a hour. Dr Bowen was not only professional, she showed kindness and concern and ensured that I received the treatment and test required. Thank you Dr Bowen and dr Baker and the lovely female receptionist.

The best GP practice I have ever been under. Dr Etok is so empathetic and truly amazing at what she does. The reception team have been nothing but warm and welcoming since I joined back in January. Thank you for your wonderful care.

Ridiculous appointment system and poor customer service from reception. Also poor record keeping and information updates, late test results and some times not received results needed for medical investigations. Discrimination and lack of care and consideration for your Autistic patients. My son repeatedly has issues getting an appointment. Sort out the appointment system with your surgery and move with this century. Why is online appointment and future appointments not able to be made online? Having a strict time to call should be for emergency and same day appointments only. Told call at 8 and unable to get through then 8.30 no appointments able to be made even for future dates? What about mentally ill or otherwise disabled or elderly patients having to endure this too? Do your GP's not have a diary, does your receptionists not know how to use a calender or write it down on paper manually if the tech is down. I mean come on. What is the reason 4 failing your local patients continuously? The looks of your reviews. And a generic bot like impersonal responses to a bad review or a complaint are not helpful to anyone. I used to recommend you to others from good care received over 10 yrs ago. I would not recommend now if the only thing you are good for is handing out experimental and questionable flu/Covid vaccines and also not following up on progress of those you have vaccinated and having side effects such as illness, loss of breath and swollen feet blocked arteries etc. People aren't ringing you to pester you or for fun they are calling because they actually need a Doctor or medical attention. Fix up!

I've been registered with the Jenner practice for a good number of years. However, I find the current reception staff (mature female ladies) extremely.... rude and unhelpful. They need be reminded that they are employed to provide a service to the local community and are being paid to do a job. And that they are not exempt from delivering good customer service or from treating service users with respect and courtesy, regardless of what we look or sound like. We are all individuals, with different needs and vulnerabilities, as service users, don't treat us with distain, and act like you are doing us a favour. Remember you will be on the other side of the reception counter, (if not already) in need of medical assistance. If you don't like your job, move on... and let someone with compassion and good communication skills benefit from employment. Finally, training courses on good customer service, manners and equal opportunities would not go amiss. Service was so...much better a couple of years + ago when the reception and phone lines were staffed by young graduates. Practice manager, please don't bother responding there are already complaints in the reviews, with your responses however, there appear to be no obvious changes, just a gradual deterioration in customer service from your staff. Mobility get your act together and sort out the poor , "ring at 8:00 am, for an appointment nonsense, " and not being able to make appointments in advance. And stop experimenting with the changes in the booking system. If we are unwell we want to see a practice GP or nurse asap. customer service

Called 111 around mid morning - nothing urgent, just generally unwell. By mid afternoon a GP from the Jenner Practice had called me for a telephone assessment, and by late afternoon they were seeing me in person. Newspaper headlines constantly tell us waiting lists to see GPs are horrendously long - but at least in my experience yesterday, it was the opposite. I don't think you could reasonably ask for anything more. Obviously the dr was great and all that - but the main thing that made me want to leave a review was the great availability which you don't hear about enough. At least for me yesterday, the system seems to be working perfectly. A pleasant surprise!

Since the practice changed the appointment booking system to a lucky call me at 8 system, it is nearly impossible to get an appointment to be seen. Surely there should be an alternative to allocate appointment. We are young and not able to dial in quick enough around 8, I don’t think that elderly or vulnerable would be able to get access. It is such a shame.

Inaccesible. Appointment system has changed in the past few months. No appointments in advance. All patients must call at 8am on the day regardless of physical or mental condition. Better off getting an inhaler for asthma off of a friend than relying on the Jenner practice. 7
