What a wonderful experience at The Ivy in the Lanes! The afternoon tea was delicious with a variety of sandwiches and exquisite cakes, all served in a spectacular way. The staff were outstanding, but I have to highlight Mattie who went out of her way to make our experience memorable, especially for mum who was celebrating her birthday. We came away full up and extremely satisfied with the whole experience and service. I would highly recommend it to celebrate a special occasion. Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for families

Initially negative experience where we arrived a few minutes early for our dinner booking and were told to wait outside for our table. 15 mins went by with no communication and when I enquired I was told that she didn’t know when a table would be available. Eventually we got offered a seat at the bar and were sat down 25 mins after our booking. Service once seated was fine, waitress was friendly and helpful but took another 15 mins to get a drinks order in (clearly stretched). Food was good and atmosphere was great, hence the 4 star, rather than 3 star review.
