Not overly impressed if I am honest. Place itself is lovely and clean but fish and chips could be loads better. Fish seemed non existent (cod fish and chips were purchased), the fish itself was very flat, not much fish but all batter. Plain Chips were nice though. I also got a regular plain chips for my nephew but these were packed upright rather than flat like most chippys do... the result if you have salt and vinegar on is all the seasoning is on top and nothing when you get further down the bag. Could be better.

We have been using the island house for the past year. Every time we go it just seems to get worse. Tonight we waited 25 minutes for nuggets, 2 sausages chips and a wrap. It wasn't till we asked 15 minutes in did they drop the nuggets into the fryer. The rest of the food we received was lukewarm at best. We will not be using them again! And to see the way the uber and just eat orders sit ontop of the counter for in excess of 15 minutes.

Went in for take out 6pm Sunday. Ordered cod and chips. Chips were cold and dry and the cod wasn’t much better. Strong suspicion it was Saturday night’s leftovers heated up. Will not be returning here.

6pm sat evening kebab meat and chip 7quid. I think they emptied the whole salt shaker on the few manky cold chips I got and the meat was cold. Absolutely shocking. Used to be good but !!!! Totally rank ended up in the bin.

We are regulars, ordered about 2 weeks ago - they'd messed up our order. We were promised that if we called back, stated our name, the manager would give us a 'free something' alongside our order. So, we call yesterday and were spoken to rudely by a member of staff, told that there is no point speaking to the manager despite our request. They made us seem as liars; that we were trying to con them of chicken & chips. Anyways, long story cut short: we open our takeaway at home to find that they have put a large amount of small pieces of fried batter and very little chips. Ruined our meal after a long day at work. Rude, impolite and conniving. Please go else where - overrated!
