My daughter recommended this place. I am so glad she did! Nic did some football ink for me which was spot on, so I went back and had some more involved inking done - which is spectacular! - always gets a wow when revealed... Wasn’t happy with my experience here. Got my navel pierced last year and I wasn’t given long enough jewellery for the swelling (there wasn’t room for the piercing to move even before it swelled up so you can imagine when it did the piercing started to sink into my skin). Asked for longer jewellery but they didn’t have any I wish I had known these things before getting pierced as I would’ve found a studio where piercers had the experience with my anatomy or had longer bars to accommodate swelling. I had to go to another nearby studio (Portsmouth Ink Studio) and they changed the bar to some longer jewellery for me. Whilst I was at this other studio the piercer informed me the piercing had been done crooked. I waited for swelling to go down to make sure that it wasn’t due to swelling but even after going back to The Ink Doctors the piercer agreed he had done it crooked. He told me to take out the piercing and that the scar would heal (the scar itself never did fade at all and the scar is really wide due to the ball sinking into my skin) and that he would repierce for free after it healed enough. Due to all the issues I faced here I decided not to get my navel repierced and I’m now left with scarring for life that could’ve been prevented. I understand that small scars are always left when taking out piercings but in this case it’s not fair as I had no choice but to take the piercing out and the scar is worse due to the way it was pierced incorrectly. I also got no apology at all from the piercer or the studio which I’m really unhappy about. I understand people make mistakes but I feel like as a professional when you make a mistake the least you could do is apologise. The piercer seemed like a nice guy and made me feel comfortable during the piercing process & I don’t even mean to bash the business because I’m sure this is just a one off but I genuinely had such a bad experience here and I felt like they didn’t care about the aftermath of the piercing.
