This was quite a short notice booking for me, booking only four to five weeks ahead of the date. The purpose at the time was to do something a little different and to temporarily escape the pressures of work. What an excellent decision this turned out to be. From the hut itself to the location and to the hospitality, everything was perfect! If you want to get off the "merry go round" of life for a while I'd highly recommend this as a break. The owners have put their heart and soul into this and every fine detail shouts passion, quality customer service and cosiness. I stopped two nights in early March just as the temperature was dropping to below zero. I was concerned before hand if I'd be warm enough but I had no need to worry at all. The log burner along with the electric heater are more than enough to keep you cosy on the coldest of winter nights. My only regret is that I didn't book to stay for longer. I stayed for two nights but could easily have stayed longer. The village of Eyam is quite something but for me it was the Little Green Hut that made this break special along with the wonderful hospitality of the owners. Highly recommended. Something you must do! :-)

Absolutely beautiful little hut. Cosy, warm, many amenities and very cute touches all round. Beautiful town, we went for dinner at Coolstone. Had drinks at Miners Arms. Went to tea rooms, the museum and had a 12km walk stopping off at 2 pubs in the closest towns (literally did everything in the to-do jar)! Best weekend I’ve had for a long time all thanks to this beautiful shepherds hut xx

Had a gorgeous weekend at The Hut. It was so cosy and cute, we felt so relaxed and at peace whilst staying. Rachel was really communicative and helped with any questions. Breakfast was lovely (granola - delicious!). We’d love to come back in the summer time!

Had a lovely and relaxing stay at the Hut! It has everything you need to truly disconnect from the world and throw yourself into a slow paced country life. Plenty of walks/hikes locally and good places to eat within the village. Local transport is good too to help you get around the area.

We stayed one night for my partners birthday, Rachel helped making it special by creating a beer and cheese board! The hut is equipped with plenty of games/activities making it perfect to be phone free and enjoy quality time together. The hut is in an excellent location and spent the following morning soaking up the views whilst eating our breakfast hamper before heading off into Eyam and Curbar Edge. Would definitely recommend and hope to be black in the future! We regret only staying the one night!

Wow what an amazing find. A surprise birthday present for my husband couldn't have been more perfect, he loved it. Great location, short walk to the village. Lovely breakfast of bread, museli, orange juice and delicious fruity yogurt. Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The hut was full of personal touches including jar of toasting marshmallows next to the burner. We will definitely be back!

Had the most amazing, relaxing stay at The Hut Eyam. Rachel was the perfect host, and the attention to detail made the weekend so special. Roasting marshmallows on the fire, long walks in the Peaks and delicious pub lunch- what more can you ask for? Would 100% recommend for a romantic getaway. Clean and quirky accommodation but we found the traipse to the bathroom and kitchen too far. Breakfast hamper disappointing with bread and muesli. Some fruit and pastries would have been nice and tea making facilities in the hut would be beneficial. Good location and nice scenery but not for us I'm afraid
