We are very local but almost didn't go, as historically food has been very average. New owners have taken over 3 years ago and what a change. Went with the family including kids. The food was excellent, good prices as well. What a transformation. Recommended and we'll be back.

Seven of us ate there one Friday recently and all enjoyed the food. Drinks are sensibly priced and there are two cask ales as well as plenty of lagers etc. Friendly staff and open until 11pm in the week unlike the pub just down the road.

Really nice feel to this pub, Matt the landlord and his family are really nice genuine people and deserve all the success they can get, we had an absolutely superb meal here, 3 off our group had lamb shank and one had the Chicken madras, good beer, and lovely atmosphere, can't wait to visit again.
