Terrible experience after having my ear wax removed during the procedure the instrument was put too far in hurting my ear After the procedure I suffered with ear pain and discomfort I went to my doctor who told me that one ear was inflamed One week later I am still having discomfort and some pains I am hoping that there is no long term damage Because of my experience I obviously could not recommend

Visited to have ear wax removed by microsuction, as opposed to syringing. This was fast and painless. Unsurprisingly, I was also offered a free hearing test which indicated a serious degree of hearing loss, confirming some audio tests which I had performed myself. (and from family feedback!) Being a music lover, I’m not keen to wear a hearing aid because they are not designed to listen to high quality music. As an aside, I use Blue (Mofi) professional headphones and a “Sonicworks” application, the latter which, a) applies correction,highly calibrated to optimise the headphones and b) incorporates personalisations including age! Thus, I enjoy the best of high quality music. NOTE: until explained to me, I didn’t realise that when listening to people and trying to decipher speech in noisy backgrounds, (and often failing), the brain increasingly loses the ability to distinguish speech. Apparently it becomes lazy and over time, exacerbating the problem I shall be visiting again to try to find an acceptable hearing aid solution. I will update this post accordingly.
