We wanted a quiet country pub did a lunch menu and were dog friendly ,and the Hawkebury gave us a warm friendly welcome on a cold Saturday afternoon. They had a good selection on the menu .We visted last year for Sunday lunch when it was very busy and booking was necessary.Situated between Staplehurst and Headcorn and Sutton Valence. We'll worth stopping.
