Came upon the stupa, built by Buddhist monks, quite unexpectedly while strolling along the lakeside path leading from the walled garden and ferry landing stage. It stands at the entrance to the Himalayan Garden with its spectacular waterfall, stepping stones and oriental bridge. A really magical place even on a cold winter day. Must be amazing in the spring and summer when the rhododendrons and other exotic plants are in full bloom.
