Lovely pub with excellent food and comfortable rooms with classic decor and modern fixtures. Thames walkers: It's a way from the river but only an easy mile from the path itself, which leaves the river in this section. Well worth the detour. Dogs welcome.

Gorgeous place, very friendly welcome and stunning rooms. Lucky to receive an upgrade to the Blenheim suite as we were celebrating a birthday which was absolutely incredible. The building is very warm and homely, would definitely recommend a stay here. Food was very, very good and very well priced for Michelin standard. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Updated review - April 2023 (changed from 5 to 4 stars) Fabulous food, but the service recently has been faltering. It's disappointing not to be acknowledged when you arrive, and the staff seem to have been banned from smiling; they all look so glum and don't seem to know the basics. Like many venues, I suspect they're struggling to attract and retain good staff members, but a little bit of hospitality coaching could go a long way. Please, bring the food at the same time - there was nearly 10 minutes from the first starters arriving to the last of our party being served - there were only 4 of us!!! Don't reach across diners to put food down for others when you could simply take 2 steps and serve the food properly! And finally (for now) our recent dining experience at the Harcourt Arms has been marred twice by the uncomfortable tables and chairs. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, try sitting at the tables yourselves. If you struggle to sit properly because the struts under the tables are too low or the chairs are too high - try swapping them around or get rid of them! It's all well and good to have rustic furniture, but the primary concern should be functionality and comfort. 😘

The staff is kind beyond belief! We wanted to stop for lunch but unfortunately the restaurant was closed that day. However the young man gave us some recommendation for a nearby place, and seeing that our Internet was not working he even printed an itinerary from Google Maps! I would absolutely love to come back and eventually enjoy the food! Thanks you!
