The food was good, but the atmosphere was quite flat. There was no low level music on for the most part of the meal which is unusual, it was like having lunch in a library. The service was ok, nothing out of the ordinary with a lacklustre greeting. The staff gave the impression that they didn’t really want to be there. Not quite what I was expecting given the two Michelin stars they currently hold.

Well I haven't actually eaten at the Hand and Fliwrr yet, however I will be eating very shortly. To be honest I'm not expecting greatness but we will see. My review is about the booking, the menu and the pretentious website. I have been fortunate and eaten in some of the best restaurants around the world. During a long career in business, which included much dinning around the world. I like a good restaurant to be about the food and not how much can be charged for the food. In this day an age we should have an dinning experience that starts from the moment a booking is made. However I am concerned as I didn't find the booking a simple and enjoyable experience. I am even more concerned to receive a reminder that emphasized ⁸If we receive a cancellation within this notice period of 48 hours, and we are unfortunately unable to resell your table, a £155 per person fee may be charged to the card provided to secure your booking. For any amendments to your booking of two or more guests, a £155 per person fee may be charged.. watch this space

Don’t come here if you want to spend 400+ quids and be treated like trash. I mean, If you want to spend an arm and a leg and feel like a leftover scrap, then by all means, visit Hand and Flowers! It was the worst dining experience of my life. The waitresses seemed to have a secret vendetta against us, as they didn't bother explaining the food or served us the wrong dishes. And if that wasn't enough, they made us wait for ages after finishing our starters, only to bring us a surprise dish that was duck-liver instead of an omelette. The service was so bad that we felt like we were in a slapstick comedy sketch, with food flying over our heads and utensils falling to the ground not once but twice! It was an unforgettable night, one that I'll remember as a cautionary tale for the rest of my days. And guess what? When I complained, I didn't even get a sorry-not-sorry. So, if you're looking for a good laugh at your own expense, book a table at Hand and Flowers!"
