Zero communication regarding the necessity to use mats in the fairways. Many of the greens were not in use and instead the fringe grass in front of the green was being used as a makeshift green. The entire course was incredibly wet and just overall not in good condition. I understand this is what winter golf in England might be like but for the experience we had today this course was far and away the worst course I’ve ever played at. Supposedly it’s meant to be better in the summer so maybe I’ll give it a second chance if I’m ever back near York in those months.
