We had lunch at the greyhound aldburyband it was very disappointing. Having looked at the menu on line and decided what we wanted but when we arrived we were told thar that menu was not available. Although there was a reasonable choice nothing much appealed finally we chose the seafood platter which also turned out to be disappointing. The calamari was acceptable as was the smoked mackerel. But the prawns were very small and recently defrosted. The crayfish was in small pieces and also just defrosted.. the salad was very wet The rustic bread was probably the only item worthy of a dish but we were only served with 1 small Pat of butter. Service was good probably because the food had been sitting out defrosting iin the kitchen. The platters cost £18.50 which did certainly not offer value for money. We decided to have a dessert foolishly.we chose the dessert of the day which was chocolate bread and butter pudding. Luckily we only ordered one as thought it was revolting but my husband enjoyed it. We have eaten at this restaurant several times and been very pleased but we both feel that we shall not return soon if ever sadly there are plenty of other eating places in the area so we shall be looking else where for a lunch date Food & drinks: Fish was frozen

Only had a few non alcoholic drinks here but it was okay. Felt like the waitress was rushing us out a bit even though it wasn't dinner time and they weren't full but otherwise it seemed like an okay pub.
