I'm from the north and like gravy with a meal. Chips down south are not very good usually, and this place is the same. I think they are the wrong potatoes and cooked wrong. Dry inside with a feeling of being slightly raw. They need to be stored in water and a different potato used. Pie was microwaved and then put in the heater so not crisp. But a good pie. Mushy peas are good but the chips are the main thing and not good. Staff very friendly though.
