  Sadly this once reliable company has outgrown its capability We used this caterer for a few years without fault. We rebooked our annual event the day after our event in 2022 for the same date in 2023. When we got back in touch 6 weeks before to confirm the menu and timings, it was very clear that the booking had been forgotten about and not put in the diary last year; we weren’t treated as though we were valued, returning customers but warned that if a deposit hadn’t been paid our booking is not confirmed and wouldn’t be diarised. I pointed out that this booking had been sent and ackowledged 11 months before and that a deposit had not been requested. Over the course of the next week when selecting menu options it was clearly not appreciated when we questioned why the pricing had increased 45% from the year before. Naturally prices of food, fuel and labour etc have all increased so a reasonable increase is to be expected but 45% seemed excessive. When we came to finalising menus and paying the deposit the owner was away and said it would be organised the next week. When it came to finalising things we still felt at that point that £19 per head per child was a bit excessive for children’s food and so queried whether we could remove an item to bring this down a little. The response was simply we are now “cancelling your event because you have questionned things too many times (twice)and we don’t feel comfortable sending our team to your home". What an insult! - A home that has welcome their team a number of times and been rewarded with great tips and praise on every single occasion previously. I fear that sadly this once reliable company has outgrown its capability to deliver and can’t keep up, no doubt there will be a reply to this feedback with excuses and attempts to justify their actions, but the fact of the matter is that it seemed clear from the get go that they did not want to cover this event this year as it had been forgotten about and rather than simply say 6 weeks out that it wouldn’t be possible they wasted time with a crazy quote, complained when it was questioned and left us with no option to rebook a caterer with only 3 weeks to go so we have had to cancel our annual event with costs to cover entertainment and hire equipment. Steer Clear.

  We ordered a themed cold finger buffet for a birthday celebration. Everything was delivered efficiently and on time (thank you Loke) All the guests were blown away by the standard of the food and the presentation (especially the cheese/pineapple hedgehogs!) All night people were asking if we had the recipe for the chocolate brownies!! Quality and service were second to none, thank you very much Clarissa!!!

  Clarissa and team catered for our wedding of 120 in January. Clarissa is lovely and we had a fantastic tasting beforehand to choose our menu. She took the time to understand our preferences and dietary restrictions, and created a menu that accommodated for our guests. Her experience shone through. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and many of our guests have commented after on how delicious the food was!! Her team on the day were amazing - we have heard how warmly they welcomed our guests at the venue and we are really grateful. They were professional, super friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran smoothly. We were truly impressed by their attention to detail and their commitment to making our day special. I would highly recommend this catering company to anyone looking for exceptional food and service for their event.

  We recently had a team event which was catered by The Great Food Company. The food and drinks were tremendous. The presentation was brilliant and staff were so friendly. Many team members went for a second round as it was that good. Can highly recommend.

  I have used The Great Food Company a few times now so would happily recommend them. The food is always high quality and the service is excellent. I love having so many menu options to choose from. I know when I book them that I don't need to worry about anything, I truly can just turn up and enjoy my own event!

  We hired TGFC for our 10th Wedding Anniversary party held at our home for 80 guests. The communication was great both before and after the event and the team that attended were all super friendly and helpful and the food was awesome. Had nothing but praise for the quality of the food and deserts from many of our guests. Thanks for helping making our special day run so smoothly.

  The great food company made a delicious fork buffet for our daughters 21st party. From the start, unlike other caterers, they made the process easy with clear menu choices and pricing. Everything was perfect and lots of our guests commented on how good the food was. I felt that they provided good value for money We will definitely use them again and would highly recommend the great food company to anyone looking for a caterer
