Very fond memories of this school - the quality teaching staff, rigorous curriculum and great friendship network set me up for life. My experiences of the school in the 90s and 00s was one mostly of inclusivity by the teachers to myself as an Asian student and others in my network from varied backgrounds, despite wider Leeds society not being anywhere near there at that time

Discrimination is so evident! Children are segregated according to their ethnicity and financial status. Educational achievements in comparison to public outstanding schools, are much lower.

My daughter had her 11+ exam in Jan 2022. When I went to pick her up, I couldn't help but feel a systematic discriminatory behaviour. All parents waited at the front door, for their childs group colour to be called out. The first few groups, were of all privileged elite white children. The parents collected their children, presently greeted by the staff, while the rest of us waited. Then followed a few more groups, again mostly of white children, with a very few mixed ethnic children in those groups. In the end, my daughters group colour and a few other group colours were called out. These groups were of 99% ethnic background children. My daughter also mentioned during break time, her table and another table was full of mixed ethnic children, whereas a few tables were set aside and were only white children. Not to sure what to make of this... Having been to the open evening event, I did not see any diversity among staff members. So... do I feel comfortable sending my daughter here 🤔 From what I have seen, NO! The elite White children will always have top priority. The rest of us, are only there to pay the fees and fill spaces.

Full of posh and rich children who’s tory parents “mummy and daddy” spoon feed and pay their child’s way through their lives.
