Nice food. However was running late for a train and they noted they’d be able to turn the food out rapidly which they didn’t. They also didn’t have disposable cutlery which was disappointing.

Lovely setting in a farmers market, the menu is built around local and seasonal ingredients, as well as British classics. The meticulous care in the selection of ingredients, good cookery in the open plan kitchen and friendly service warrants a five star review!

We had lunch here on a Saturday as a large group of friends with young children. First of all I would like to say that the two girls who were waiting the tables were absolutely amazing and very friendly (best part of this visit). The man behind the reception/bar, was very unwelcoming. Don't be in hospitality if you absolutely hate answering any questions. They were also not very kind towards the children which made us all feel very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre at best, fish I heard was good, Lamb was very tough (had to ask for another knife to be able to cut it). Very expensive for what it was. We paid £80 for two main meals, one children's meal, one beer, one coke and a kid's apple juice. No starter, no dessert. The main meals don't come with anything (£23 for a dish on it's own), you have to order greens and potatoes separately which all adds up - 100% not worth the money, specially when you get treated the way we did. The menu itself was very limited. There was no chicken on the menu and I think only one vegetarian meal - although they were able to provide chicken for the kids. Overall a very disappointing experience, we were visiting Canterbury for the weekend and I am so sorry we spent our limited time and hard earned cash in this place. The market itself was lovely, great sweet treats, coffee and goods, just stay away from the restaurant.

I went to the Wild Goose today and the food was just so delicious. The staff was really attentive and friendly. The chef was very welcoming and it was nice to see her cooking. I recommend this place. I loved it.

The best restaurant experience I have had in a long time! I was not sure whether to go because it's far from the centre, but it was completely worth it. The place has such a good atmosphere. We can see the kitchen, and it's in the farmers market. You can see your food journey from the stalls to your plate. The flavours were really interesting, with dishes to remember. It's obvious that every single entry on the menu was carefully thought and crafted by the kitchen crew. I am very happy I got to visit a place like this and I wish more existed. Thank you for running a restaurant that respects their products, their producers, and their customers.
