Actually the food was good but only 1 star as it was ruined by the appalling lack of service. Ordered beers but was told that the tap beer was off so only bottles. Fine so we ordered bottles and our food waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come back and say there was no beer available at all just cider (very strange) so ordered apple ciders. Food arrived but still no sign of the drinks and didnt want to eat a burger without something to wash it down. Went to the bar (where i barman was onv struggling to cope with demand) and was told drinks would be coming soon. Told them it better be soon as we weren't starting on food until we had a drink. At no stage was there any attempt at an apology from the waitress who had a very laid back attitude. but Eventually the cider arrived but the waitress bought berry cider (yuk) not the apple that we had ordered - once again no apology. Have been going to the Stokey Good Egg for years and love it but this has soured my experience and there is no link on their website to contact anyone. I wish we had walked out and gone to one of the many other choices in Kingly Court. The waitress needs to find another job.

I guess my expectations were too high... Food was mediocre, not bad, but in no way special. Service and ambiance was bad: I asked for my table to be cleaned because there were still crumbs from the guests before me and the waitress said "it's clean" without even checking. You can see on the picture from the other tables (which at least she then cleaned as well) that the tables were not clean

Nothing good about this rotten egg. Do not go by the promo picture. Quantity is small,dry food and overpriced. Paid 70 Quid for burnt fish kofta ,dry fried chicken just three wings ,coleslaw with no mayo in it at all ps Hail KFC in comparison and 2 drinks. Worst meal ever.
