I don't usually leave reviews, but I was pretty shocked about how poor some of the food was. The margarita pizza looked and tasted like a 70p pizza from the savers range. Beyond poor, and for the price it's pretty mental they can serve it with a straight face haha The rest of the food was pretty average. Forgettable enough to not remark on positively or negative, but I do think for the price, the standard of food should be much higher. This chain used to have superb food, but something happened in the last 5 years and it's gone downhill a lot. Nice decor and staff but if you're charging £14-15 for mains and £6-7 for starters, I think you need to up your game personally.

£13.50 for this rubbish how the chef could possibly even think to let this go out the kitchen is beside me.. I won’t be coming back in a hurry.. and the chances are you’ll just say sorry about my experience And not even offer an explanation to describe this sad looking thing on the plate.Discussions Over the phone will not sort this issue out, this is an in-house problem that needs sorting

Booked a table for 5 for my mum's 88th birthday and had our usual table near the door in the wheelchair accessible area for dad. As always, received a warm, friendly welcome from Sarah and the rest of the team. Everything from drinks, food and service was really good and nothing too much trouble. We all had a brilliant and enjoyable night and we're all looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks time.

A fantastic menu in a wonderfully traditional pub. Oak beams, lovely decor, great beers, plenty of choice on the menu, and delicious food ... all served with a smile. The quiet country village of Whiston also provides the perfect backdrop. Loved it.
