We went into The Ginger Pig Loughton to get some nice quality steaks for Father’s Day. The butcher was very personable, helpful and knowledgeable when we asked for recommendations on best cut. He also gave us 8 sausages for free (and was going to give us more)! We purchased the ribeye and cooked it to his instruction. It was superb and so were the sausages! We are so pleased with the quality of meat and customer service. We are loyal customers now and looking forward to future meals to come provided by the Ginger Pig. Dreadful quality butcher and premium pricing. The sausage rolls are great but the joints are very poor. Stay away from anything rolled or prepared as they hide all manor of fat, gristle and nasty bits rolled into the centre that you can't see

We had a Sunday take away lunch there for the first time after we had seen our daughter and hubbie have one. It had looked fabulous and so decided to try it for ourselves. The roast beef was delicious, beautifully cooked and a very generous portion. We also had great roast potatoes and vegetables. There was a gravy pot provided which was lovely. The most incredible part was all of this was provided for just £9.50. Tremendous value and top quality.
