Made the enquiry, got a phone call the next working day. Got a quote, made the payment. 2 days later I'm fitting my new gearbox. I've done 600 miles this week in near total silence. It's unnerving how loud my old gearbox was. Excellent service, super fast delivery one for the new gearbox and a phone call later for them to pick up my old box and within 4 hours it's was gone. Refund on old box was paid within 3 days of inspection. Very helpful on the phone, overall a great experience. Very happy with the new ( recon) gearbox. Peace of mind knowing it has a years warranty and unlimited mileage.. Update , I had a faulty drive seal on the gearbox, they said get it repaired at your local garage and they would send me the money for the repair, sent the invoice, never heard from them.. Several attempts still heard nothing...

First time using this company and received a very poor service! The first gearbox was delayed due to one of the “technicians” damaging a shaft, I then fitted one of their supposedly reconditioned gearboxes to find an internal screeching noise from the gearbox whenever you lifted the clutch pedal so had to remove their faulty gearbox and also buy more oil as the new oil was now contaminated with metal fillings. They then rebuilt my original gearbox which thankfully was fine once refitted with no unwanted noises. They showed no consideration when asking for a partial refund as it cost me double labour time to fit one of their faulty gearboxes just to remove it again and buy more gearbox oil. I was told one price on the phone only to be charged more and I had to chase the surcharge refund. Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

I was at the end of my tether when a recently purchased used car failed and I was quoted an unaffordable sum for repair by the authorised dealership. An internet search for cheaper alternatives led to a very quick response from the Gearbox Centre and much better value for money estimate. The process was prolonged by the demands of my warranty company - but every request was accommodated by Marc at Gearbox Centre. No work proceeded without explicit authorisation from me. The quote was accurate; no hidden extras. The work was done professionally and I was treated courteously throughout. Every stage was explained.
