The food is amazing, I went to the gate Restaurant for the first time in 1999 and had the Aubergine Schnitzel , but they have improved it since. It reminded me of my mums cooking, but a vegan version of it! The lemon sauce was so tasty and rich. My wife had the katsu curry (incredibly subtle taste) and I had the beetroot and mascarpone mousse, with a slightly bitter/sweet taste). The quantity of food was just right and the price reasonable given the top notch quality. The wine was not of a great quality though given the £26 price tag.

A decent meal of goods flavours but with slow service, despite the empty dining room, it was a little disappointing. Not necessarily going to set the world alight, but a reliable option, especially after a night at Sadlers Wells.

Incredible food. I was missing MasterChef but friends agreed we had MasterChef the professionals live. The truffle sauce I couldn't get enough of! It was my friend's birthday and they not only put a candle in her cheesecake as requested but wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate sauce as well. It made it so special. Vegetarian options: All vegetarian and DELICIOUS

One of the best places I have been for vegan food in London. The starters and mains were delicious, the desserts weren’t quite as good.

The Gate is a vegan restaurant that has completely transformed my dining experience. I was greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere the moment I walked in. The menu is a fascinating combination of innovation and flavour, with a selection of plant-based meals that are as aesthetically appealing as they are tasty. Each mouthful is packed with vivid, fresh ingredients that will leave you wanting more. Dining at The Gate is an absolute delight because to the courteous and knowledgable staff. Whether you're a vegan or just curious in the world of plant-based cuisine, The Gate is an absolute must-see.

Presentation was beautiful but the yoghurt a little bland.. Paying online was an absolute nightmare. I say this as a constructive comment with the best will - please please change your payment provider. It was so confusing we spent 10 mins trying to work it out - and theres only 3 of us.. and we all work in tech! Would have paid in person if I’d have known.
