Bespoke service from start to finish. We recently had an architect work on some building plans but did not listen to our requirements which was massively frustrating. The Garden Design Company were the opposite and produced a plan that required no adjusting; it was fantastic. The builders and horticulturist who then completed the garden were so professional, helpful and polite which, I am sad to say, is a rarity now. I would highly recommend to anyone. GDC have been amazing from start to finish. The design was beautiful and incorporated everything we wanted. We were sold at the design presentation. The on site team were professional and courteous, and clearly expert. The aftercare has also been first rate. They have made tweaks without quibbling and nothing has been too much trouble. When the council removed trees from behind our property, they quickly came and planted more trees for us, for screening. The only negative was the bad experience we had with a subcontractor for our garden pod- but GDC have been very supportive and mitigated for the subcontractor and kept the pressure up on them. I am sure we could have had the work done for half the price, but I am also sure that you get what you pay for and I am very glad we paid the premium for a premium service I would not hesitate to recommend GDC Services: Garden design, Yard designs, Landscape installations, Landscape architecture services, Custom landscape design

A waste of money for us. The Garden Design Company gave us a quote for landscaping design drawings. We dealt with Russell who is fine but very much in it for the sale we felt. You can have a basic design or add lighting and planting designs on top, total £3000 for everything. Do not bother with their lighting and planting designs which cost loads extra and you'll probably never use them anyway. It was very disappointing that their employee who won the Chelsea flower show and does the planting designs never even came to the house, she just does it on a computer. Alan came out and did all of the soil sampling and measurements etc which all seemed very professional and he was very good. We had asked for quite a lot of work - hot tub, patios, sunken firepits, garden rooms, kids play area etc. We explained our budget which was not for all of the work but just some of it (firepit and play area). We went to their offices for the 'reveal' as they call it, nice signs out front welcoming you to their office etc. The designs and video etc were all very plush and they explain how they only use the finest materials. They explained how they couldn't keep within our budget so we thought that's fine, it will probably be £10K over what we'd specified. Their eventual quote was over £160K for just half of the work we wanted doing. We thought they might say "so here is how we could do it for less" but they never did, it was take it or leave it. I did my own design in the end and that £3000 was an absolute waste of money. If you are a professional footballer then go ahead and use them, if not, I'd look elsewhere. Service: Yard designs

GDC recently did a complete makeover of my neglected garden. From the design process through to completion, the attention to detail was exemplary. Reasons for the different elements of the design and the choice of materials was explained, and I was shown samples of everything before finalising it. During the work, nothing was too much trouble. The men were happy to answer questions and regularly checked that I was pleased with their work. I did ask for a couple of small changes from the plan which wasn't a problem - they were always polite and helpful. The site was left clean and tidy every day and the final result is fantastic. I would say they are a premium company, but I can't fault their service and the final outcome. Very pleased with my new garden. Service: Backyard landscaping

Fast forward 3 months and it's all finished and I couldn't be happier!
