  Stephen’s work is excellent. He has worked on some oak bedroom furniture that required alterations and polishing. The work produced is outstanding and he ensured the items were personally delivered when required even though the original delivery date slipped due to delays with the builders works.

  We brought a 1960s rocking chair that looked quite dated. The upholstery was also missing. Stephen took the chair and turned it into a smart contemporary piece of furniture. He lightened the wood and re-upholstered the chair in a modern fabric. It's been given a new lease of life. Very happy with what he's done and now looking for a matching foot stool!

  I’m absolutely delighted with the work to restore a very badly damaged old family rocking chair. It was in a very poor state, but is now beautiful (see photos before and after). This means a lot to me as the chair belonged to my mother, who died last year, and to her mother before that. The work on the wood and on the rush seat is of the highest quality.

  I have just received my dressing table and nest of tables back. I'm really pleased. It's just what I'd hoped for. My dressing table was my Gran's from when she got married in 1943. No particular antique but I was fond of it. It's been given a new lease of life. It's very polished and the hinges have been repaired. I love the fact that rather tatty furniture has been transformed into really nice pieces. Thank you.

  My wife is over the moon with Stephen’s painstaking restoration of a treasured family heirloom - a workbox in the form of a grand piano. The wobbly legs have been straightened, the broken keys fixed, the trim repaired, the interior relined and the woodwork looks as good as new. It is great to be able to see how the box would have looked when it had pride of place in her grandmother’s house. Thank you, Stephen.

  My mother asked me to leave a review for this business after she was utterly thrilled with some restoration work they did on an old bureau that used to belong to my Grandfather. In her words " the work done was brilliant. They did exactly what was asked - high quality professional restoration work especially to the feet, some other small repairs and a lovely finish all whilst keeping the original character of the buraeu. She also found the price very reasonable, especially given the quality of the work. For my part, thank you for doing such a great Job. My mother had wanted it repaired for literally decades and it's made me so happy to see HER be so happy with the result :)

  My late mum bought me a Indian wood dining table, chairs and sideboard. After 16 years of heavy wear and tear this furniture needed a miracle to restore it to its former glory, contacted Stephen to make enquiries and for a quote to restore the furniture, he is such a great guy to deal with he’s honest, reliable and professional but above all talented. Only took a couple of weeks would have no concerns of recommending him to others. To say I am delighted with the end product is an understatement, I love it just wish I had taken before and after pictures. Thank you Stephen for all your hard work.

  I bought a 1930's plan chest online which turned out to be extremely mold ridden and was in need of restoration. Originally I was going to try and work on it myself but when the mold kept coming back and it was becoming difficult for me to be around it due to allergies, I contacted Stephen for a quote to do some or all of the work for me. He came and assessed the work that same day and provided me with a breakdown of the work he could do and the price for each service he could provide inc. mold removal, old finish removal, drawer fixing/adjustment, sealing, staining and polishing, as well as removing and polishing the brass fittings. I decided to ask Stephen to do all of the work for me. He collected and returned the chest within a couple of weeks and I am really happy with the results. Stephen has done a beautiful job, way better than I could have ever hoped to achieve myself, in a fraction of the time and at a fair price. Stephen has a warm, friendly and professional manner, and he was very kind to take into consideration comments I made regarding my efforts thus far to avoid using harsh-chemical free agents to treat the mold, and my preference for using natural as possible finishes. I am aware he spent time researching how best to do this, taking these factors into account, which I am very grateful for. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Stephen again if needed, or to recommend him to anyone in need of this kind of work.
