Proper pub with proper beer and pub grub. Ate twice whilst on holiday in the area, roast dinner was nice, but the pies were lovely! Good portion size and dog friendly too!

£14.95 for scampi and chips, update the price on your website! Undercooked chips, limp bit of lettuce and cold peas, scampi ok but not worth the price. My mother said her cottage pie was very dry vegetables not good, my father's meal overcooked chicken and limp salad, we will not be going back again. It used to be good food here, not anymore.

Basic pub grub but OK for that. The place could do with a refurb though.

I visited here with a couple of friends for Sunday dinner, one who is vegan and us two meat eaters. The Sunday roast was absolutely bloody delicious! Proper meaty gravy, a choice to have mixed meat and all the trimmings. The crackling from the pork was perfect and we had a proper homemade Yorkshire pudding (non of these premade ones which ruin a good roast). Basically the whole visit was great and the food was super tasty and my friend said her vegan dinner was good too. They had a log fire burning keeping the pub lovely and warm and the service was friendly and prompt. I'd definitely recommend the Fleece for a Sunday roast.
